Post Question: Do you set any knitting/crochet/crafting goals for yourself each year? If so, what are some of your goals for 2023?

While I listed my 2023 goals above, I also wanted to share some additional pictures on some of the projects. The main two people the Spy x Family Sweater Dress and the Granny Square Pants. I'm pretty excited about these two because they let my creativity go, but will also be a pretty big challenge for me.
I started watching the Spy x Family Anime recently and have been very much enjoying it. I've seen the manga (Japanese comic books/graphic noels) on Amazon, but have never branched off to actually reading it. I might now that I've watched the show and have really enjoyed it. One of the things I noticed one of the very first episodes was the awesome sweater dress the main heroine wears! The more episodes I watched the more I wanted to try to make her dress. Here are some pictures that I took to try to use to develop a pattern.

While the design almost looks like it's a skirt with a cape that's been fastened backwards, I want to make it all one piece. So I'm planning to have the top closed more and then just have a little key hole in the mid back that's open. Thankfully my Knitting A - Z book is going to come in handy for that. Then the lines down the front and in the back are going to be crocheted in to stand up. Finally I might buy little read flowers for the back "fastener" and the front left chest area, unless I can find a way to either crochet those or sew them. I have no idea...this is all new to me!
For the Granny Square pants, I saw this fun video by caroleenascloset that inspired me to try for making my own pants! I also found this great YouTube tutorial from ikoxun that I think will be super helpful when I go to make those. Here are some fun pictures for inspiration:

I have a lot of ambitions this year...I figured, I'll get through as much as I can this year, and whatever I can't accomplish this year will roll over to next year.
