Current Fun Project

Post Question: What do you do with your extra scraps from various projects? Not just knitting/crochet but it could also be scrap booking, sewing, wreath making, floral arrangements, leather work, jewelry making, etc....

Materials:

• US 5 Bamboo Needles

• Random yarn bits and pieces from various projects

Stitch Pattern/s:

• Garter

A project that I've been working on, on and off for the past few weeks is this Bohemian Scarf that I'm making out of my project scraps. I could never just toss the yarn when I was done with a project, but didn't know what to do with them. Here are some random things of yarn I have laying around:

Then the answer came to me and it then seemed so obvious. Haha.

At the end of the first Knit & Nibble Mystery book, Murder, She Knit, by Peggy Ehrhard she provided the idea of this Bohemian Scarf. The cool thing is that you can choose your own size of needle, your own stitch pattern/s and switch in and out of your yarn as you please. For this go round I am using size US 5 bamboo needles so it's taking the project longer to make, but also being able to vary my colors more which is what I was shooting for.

I'll be sure to provide an update once the full scarf is completed! I have several projects on my radar so I'll be able to vary it up even more and probably start working on another once once I reach the 70" that I'm shooting for.
