Now that my Dad's birthday has passed I feel comfortable finally sharing these amazing socks!!
The pictures seriously do not do this pattern justice. It is so colorful and I was shocked that my Dad actually picked this color out when I asked the family for their sock color preferences!

I believe every time I create another pair of socks I learn something new. This time was definitely focused on the fact that I am using needles that are too big. The first socks I made were in 2017 and then I took a big break after that before I attempted another pair...like not until January of this year! So I forgot that I'd followed the pattern a lot more closely at that time. Since I'm using bigger needles, but following the pattern I'm realizing that my socks are a lot bigger than I'm anticipating. While they work well for "comfy" socks that you'd wear around the house, they really don't work well being socks that you'd wear in tennis shoes. So I definitely want to continue to work on that and start using what the pattern calls for, or at least what the yarn suggests!
I'm writing this post prior to my Dad opening his gift, but I'm sure he's going to really enjoy them. He was very interested in my Mom's socks that I knitted her for her birthday. It also helps that it is winter time so he can rock these around the house with his warm slippers.
