Jera's 2023 Winter Scarf

Post Question: What was your first project you made for someone else?

Materials:

• Yarn - Red Heart Super Saver Yarn - Bonbon

• US 10 Aluminum Needles

• Less than a week working at nights after work

My daughter has expressed interest over the past couple of years in trying knitting too. So we went out and bought her a pair of needles and a skein of yarn that she wanted to use. Her favorite colors are Blue, Pink and Purple, so this one was the perfect choice! She started on the adventure, but constantly got sidetracked and would stop the project to try to use the yarn for other random things.

As I started to work on her brother's scarf, she tried to start over on making her own, but got distracted and stopped working on it again. Once the weather started getting even colder, I asked if I should step in and help out. She told me she would really appreciate it. So I got to work.

This was a fun adventure as the pattern started to make itself known. I really enjoyed it and decided to just knit it until they were identical on both sides. It is warm and colorful and perfect for her personality! She takes it to work almost every day now and I love that she loves it that much. <3
